The local branch is continuing to press the council to come clean on the situation as regards lead pipes in the Local Council housing stock.
The latest news of a house with a lead in water content of 200 time above the minimum safe levels. With a toddler showing a sever case of lead poisoning.
Bob Murray a local resident and chair of the housing and safety committee continues to try to get a full disclosure of the size and nature of the problem..
Party leader visits Larkhall
John Swinney the SNP Party Leader on a visit to Larkhall to highlight the fact that although the people of Larkhall have been promised a railway station at every election for getting on to 20 years still there is no station. This next election will be no different as yet again the Labour Party promise that the trains will soon be running. He also took the time to stop of at the Coal Yard tea room for a chat to the workers and staff.
