When the results came in in the early hours of Friday morning it was clear that Labour had been badly damaged by the SNP campaign in Clydesdale.
Jim's fighting campaign had scored the forth biggest swing from Labour to the SNP in all of Scotland.
Reducing Jimmy Hoods Majority from 13,809 to a rump of 7,794.

To give an indication of what a resounding result the Clydesdale SNP received on the night, you only have to look at the index of the most marginal seats in Scotland, Clydesdale has moved from 39th to 15th in one fell swoop. In what was the best result in the area  the since 1974 Election.
