Tom Mcalpine has served as the Councillor for the Bigger area for many years.
He has stood for  the SNP in two Westminster elections in 1974 coming close to gaining the Lanark seat infor the SNP.
Tom is still a dedicated anti nuclear campaigner, and continues the fight to rid Scotland of nuclear weapons.
